What's not to love about the variety and liveliness of Mexican mercados? Did try the fried grasshoppers--just crunch, no substance, thank God. It was at the huge Mercado de Abastos with its many tiny indigenous vendors that I, for the first time in my life, experienced life as a tall person. Gracias as always for the pictures and post, Jim.
