I tried unsuccessfully to search thru the blog posts to retrieve the name and location of the woman in the friendly tourist office. Can you send me that? Also, do you have a driver/taxi you recommend? Cost? We are looking to arrange transport to and from GDL airport and possibly a driver to take us to outer places of interest for a half day. I am grateful for your detailed fascinating posts! I am currently sitting in an Airbnb just steps from the mine, which is quite active; one of the shafts runs deep beneath this very building, and we hear the now-mechanized ore cars rumble 24/7. I hope today to see the ruins of the original Templo, relocated to the Centro when the Panoramica was constructed, and also see some other mines, perhaps abandoned, perhaps reopened. (It’d a fluid situation.) I’m a fiction writer and have researched the Idaho Silver Valley mines for a novel I’ll likely never get around to, but the similarities and contrasts between the two historical mining communities fascinates me. Again, gracias!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4330114585754884758.post-54302866354742453392024-01-12T23:46:18.072-06:002024-01-12T23:46:18.072-06:00Try Googling "Puerto Vallarta Part 1, Jim and...Try Googling "Puerto Vallarta Part 1, Jim and Carole".
